Hello!

Thanks for vising my page...

I am a performer, educator, wife, mother and nature lover. If you want to know me better, scroll down.

My love for the violin started when I was 5..

I heard a violin student playing at a concert. I stared at her for 12 whole minutes, mesmerized by the most beautiful sound I had ever heard. That day, I told my mom I wanted to learn to play the violin, not the piano as I had previously wanted. At 8, I was accepted into the music conservatory in Cuba, and my life was never the same.

My music career

almost ended when I was 15

My family and I moved to the United States when I turned 15. In my new High School there was no orchestra and I did not have a violin teacher. Lots of people advised me to quit music because I could not make a living out of it. Try saying that to a 15 year old whose life had been music ever since she could remember.

Of course I did not listen to them, and kept playing on my own. Until a wonderful teacher came along and believed in me. He showed me hope when I needed it most.

The college life, an end to music?

During my college years, I changed my major often, still trying to find my purpose. I was injured during my sophomore year, and that led me to teaching. I had never thought about teaching as part of my purpose, but it became one of my passions. Now performing and teaching go hand in hand in my life, and my injury was not the end to music, but a tool God used to show me another part of myself. Music to me is life, as much a part of me as a part of my body.

Becoming one, the next chapter!

At 23, I married the love of my life, Isaac. We met at school and were blessed to make music together at our church. Music became a part of us, and today we are a team in everything we do.
